I’ve learned from fellow 2011 debut authors...
1. Despite all the pressure to blog, tweet, and market, just do what feels confortable and be yourself. It'll work out better in the long run.
2. Keep writing your fiction. Find the time to do the thing you love that brought you here in the first place.
3. Though writing is a solitary task, you are not alone. Reach out. A hand will find you.
